Supaorder pricing in the Middle East and Africa

Arabic-and-English storefronts, cash on delivery that still matters, national card schemes such as mada and KNET, and mobile money from Nairobi to Accra. Payment eligibility is the first question in every one of these markets.

Countries with a published guide

Each guide carries the published local ladder, cost examples, the recommended payment and courier stack, and the questions to settle before launch.

Payment methods across the Middle East and Africa

Aggregated from the 2 country guides. A live method is on the published integrations list today; an on-request method is built for you, scoped and given a timeline in your quote.

Live today

  • Cash, card on delivery, card terminal — every country in the region
  • Stripe — every country in the region

Built on request

  • Network International / PayTabs — United Arab Emirates
  • Ozow / PayFast / Peach Payments — South Africa
  • SnapScan / Zapper — South Africa
  • Tabby / Tamara — United Arab Emirates
  • Yoco — South Africa

Currencies and billing

One published ladder per currency: AED, ZAR. Every row is set for its market and rounded, never converted at a live rate. Invoicing is in the listed currency on request and confirmed in your quote; taxes are excluded.

Storefront languages to plan for

  • South Africa — English, with Afrikaans and Zulu where you serve them
  • United Arab Emirates — English and Arabic

Enable the ones each service area needs with reviewed translations; an English-only storefront loses orders before checkout in most of these markets.

Food tax on restaurant orders across the Middle East and Africa

In both countries here, food takes one rate whether it is eaten in, collected or delivered; the rate itself differs by country. Each country guide gives the rates and links the tax authority's own page.

Launching in the Middle East and Africa

What is common across the region

Processor eligibility first

Stripe’s supported-countries list decides whether your entity can hold its own account; most markets here settle through a locally licensed gateway or a regional acquirer, scoped separately from the subscription.

Cash and mobile money

Cash on delivery and mobile money are ordinary, not edge cases. Test rider cash reconciliation and a wallet payment in the demo.

Arabic content and landmark addresses

Provide reviewed Arabic content where it applies and test landmark- or block-based addresses with real delivery zones.

Questions about the Middle East and Africa

Can a marketplace in the Gulf or Africa use Stripe?

Only if its entity is in a country on Stripe’s supported list. The country pages say which markets need a locally licensed gateway instead, and those are scoped as on-request integrations.

Do you support mobile money?

M-Pesa, MTN Mobile Money and similar are built on request; they are not on the published integrations list today. Name them at the demo.
